NYU ABSN Spring 2018!

Hi,

I was curious if anyone was applying to NYU ABSN program for the Spring of 2018! I have a Bachelors of Art in Communication with a business emphasis; I am currently taking prerequisites and applying this summer.

I also applied the first week of August and have yet to hear back, It is extremely frustrating because I feel like we won't have enough time to figure out financial issues and housing and what not, they told me we can hear back as late as January 1st

I'm definitely in the same boat! I submitted my app 8/15 and I still have yet to hear from them.

Does anyone have their prerequisites in pursuit? I'm worried that that's the reason why they're not giving me a decision - because I'm taking a full semester of prerequisites at NCC right now so I feel like they might just wait to see those grades. I hope not though because then that will put me off until late December early January and that's super annoying especially since I need to know whether to look for apartments or not

I received my acceptance letter today! and I still have MicroBio and Statistics to finish up right now. (I'm taking the classes right now). Congrats to everyone who got accepted! Does anyone know exactly how much this program costs? Lol I'm scared to even ask

Hey guys! I graduated from the NYU ABSN program in May 2017. I was in the Spring 2016 cohort. Just in case anyone had any q's about the program, or anything in general, I'm here for you guys! I already passed the NCLEX end of July, and just started my first job so I've been through the whooooole process start to finish. I always post on the new cohort pages on here because I remember during this time I wanted to know as much as I could about the program, so I'm just paying it forward. Congrats to those who got accepted already, and good luck to everyone else!

hi!! i appreciate you reaching out to newly incoming students. i guess one of my biggest questions is whether the program is truly as intense as i've been reading. i'm hoping that i'll still be able to find time to go to the gym pretty regularly or will i be studying 24/7? also how are the professors in terms of teaching/being helpful in aiding you with your education? i come from a very large undergrade school where the professors never knew any of the students nor did they care if they students did well.

Yes, they emailed me saying that an admission decision has been made and I was directed to login into my Albert's account and check my application status. Hope this helps!

Do you thing it's a good/bad sign when NYU ask you that you need to submit the fina transcript with the current semester grades which includes 2 prerequisite. They said my application is in final evaluation but they need the grades for the prerequisites to make the decision. Super nervous since the grades for fall get submitted in late December.

Is it two science pre reqs that are pending? Because I also am taking 2 prereqs currently but only one of them is science (microbio), but I received my acceptance yesterday!
