And if you try to find an application ofr License by Reciprocity, it just does not exist. The only one is License by Endorsement and with that, you still need to meet the requirements of the new state. A license in another state does not mean that you will qualify for the new state where you wish to get a license. You need to be approved by them.

Ok i understand it now. Thank you so much Suzanne. I'll think about this and hopefully i can finally decide on where i am going to initially apply. Thanks again! =)

Glad to hear that it is now making sense for you.

I also would suggest that you get a couple of years of experience under your belt in another country first, we are expecting this to become the requirement for working in the US, as it is now the standard for many other countries.

Whether or not that you take the NCLEX now, you are looking at five years plus for even a chance to work in the US. You need to be pro-active in your career.

hi
i received the letter stating that i can now sit for the exam!! yay !!! for those of you who would like to know how i did it...
i applied same day to cgfns and ny bon.. may 25 (i made sure i had everything needed completed like certificates , fees etc)
date of application: 25th may 2007
date of cgfns cvs report issued : 16th oct 2007
date of bon eligibility letter: 11 nov 2007
so total time in months 5 and a half months!!!!
i will now apply to pearson for registering to sit for the nclex-rn!!!

i have received a e-mail from:comped on november which said:

your education was approved on 10/25/07. any additional questions should be directed to nysed.

but i have not received a eligibility letter from bon. what should i do next? should i register and pay for the nclex examination with pearson vue now? i have sent my rn application form on july this year, i do not know if education being approved means i can register the nclex examination with pearson vue.
