NYP "Unlicensed New Grad Nurses" Posting

U.S.A. New York

Published

Hi guys! Has anyone heard back about the general new grad posting at all NYP locations the other week - unlicensed or licensed?

Hello everyone! Glad this threat was created! I submitted the pre-screen questionnaire last week and received today an email about completing an assessment online. Does anyone know about what the next steps are? Ah and I applied to the licensed btw

I got the email about the questionnaire as well

Did you get the assessment yet?

Yes! I got the assessment email on 5/6. I did it the same day; nothing recent as of yet

I got it on that same day as well! I sent them an email to follow up but no response as of yet either.

It seems as if the residency isn't starting any time soon.

Yes I think that's the case. I was also looking into per diem jobs

I've noticed per diem jobs require experience. Are you thinking of waiting on NYP?

Yes I received it on 5/6 as well, filled it out the same day and still no response!

Hmm seems we're all in the same boat

Has anyone tried to contact the recruiter to follow up?

I'm going to wait on NYP unless I hear back from other hospitals, I applied to Northwell and Mount Sinai. I was looking for non hospital per diem for new grads. I've seen companies such as White glove and they hire new grads.

Gotcha'. The only issue would be that they're usually contracts. I've seen a couple of job posts but because they ask for 9-12 months commitment I haven't applied. I interviewed with Northwell and Mount Sinai but haven't heard back yet. When you apply to Northwell, try to do so via Linkedin. I've noticed the process is faster that way (for some reason). NYP is my #1 option but if I get an offer from another hospital, I think I'd go with that hospital instead of waiting ?

Thank you! Yes I noticed that as well in regards to the contract length. I've been checking to see when they post one with a shorter contract length. If I come across one, I'll send you the info. At this point, the first hospital to give me an offer, I'm taking!?
