Hi Everyone!
I know that there have been questions like this in the past but the last one I have seen was in 2012.
I had my interview at NYP/Columbia and I accepted an offer. I now have to take the Basic Medication Administration Exam in order to actually start working there. This is my dream hospital and I have to send in my letter of resignation to my current job soon. I need to pass this on the first try in order to avoid any delays.
Has anyone recently taken it or is scheduled to take it? How did you study for it? I've read in previous threads that there was an NLN practice exam for $10 which closely resembled the type of questions asked on the NYP exam. Does anyone have access to it?
I have a short time to study and I really want to increase my chances of passing it.
Thanks in advance.

Hey, no I only took basic pharm. it was somewhat easy. I used the study outline on RN.com as a guideline and everything that was on it was on the exam. Mostly side effects of antibiotics like cipro and vanco. There are a few questions on Digoxin and insulin. Maybe about 4 dosage calculations. They also gave a sliding scale for insulin and you had to answer how much insulin to give...those were very easy cause you just had to read the scale

Hi everyone! I am scheduled to take the pharm exam for NYP next week. Can someone post the link to the guide they studied on RN.com? I can't seem to find it, thank you
