I recently got a job in the ED at a level 1 trauma center in the Bronx. It's part of NYC Health + Hospitals and there is a newly issued "NYC wide residency" in place. It isn't a year but it is 16 weeks. I start orientation this week and it seems there is a lot of confusion about how long we will actually be in the classroom for before heading to the unit.
Anyone have any experience with NYC Health + Hospitals orientation?
