Nybon Nursing School Under Investigation

I finished my LPN-RN program from Carleen Health Institute. I took the NCLEX under New York state board and passed the exam. I'd been waiting on the license a couple of weeks and decided to call NYbon, was told the school is under review - hence they would not be issuing any licenses till the review is done. They also wouldn't give a time frame. Does anyone have any idea how long these reviews usually take or what could be done in situations like this?

NYBON still refuse to do something about those that did fraud with keeping their license.   Their only focus is only with people receiving a license or to test.  NyBON refuse to hold those people accountable 

Sounds fishy that the NYBON does not want to investigate and bring charges.

Exactly,  how are they renewing these people license knowing this. Sound like someone's hands are dirty

Anyone who went to what has been deemed a fraudulent school had to surrender their license those who didn't. When it came to renewal would not get renewed or fee back from renewal and will be put on a list that won't allow them to be a nurse in any state. As well their employer asks them their school and should known to take them off the schedule.( That's not NYS BON issue)

 

The schools that are still being reviewed it's going to take time...period end of discussion. Most of the people only used nys to test didn't plan to work in nys should have originally tested in the state they wanted to work in to avoid other state's stipulations.

Your very incorrect. NYBON  is not doing that. The ones that still have there license have renewed and was granted. There not stopping anyone.

I'm sorry I don't know what your talk about. These people went to Florida but the majority live in ny. This is why ny has such a big problem.  This thing has been going on longer than what they say. These people should have there license taken away because they make it bad for those that put in the hard work In nursing school. This is why not everyone can get in or through nursing school

The list of Florida schools deemed fraudulent and federal being investigated. anyone who has not surrendered license but tried to renew won't be able to renew or get renewal fee back 

 

Second list 

Schools from florida that NYS BON personally has under review which only affects those trying to get a license after the school was put under review . Anyone who went to those certain schools and got a license before the school went under review are not affected by this decision . the hold is only for new test takers/ new people trying to get a NYS license

Third list

schools  from Florida not listed as of present day accredited. So those whose school is accepted (state only) probation or closed are on hold from being able to test /get a score report or a license.

 

Hopefully the breakdown of lists helps people better understand the order of things NYS BON has going on

People that went to Fraud School that have active license are being renewed.  There were only  few that surrender there license . These people are actively working in NY.

Good afternoon,

 

how could we find this list? Because I have yet to see my school on any list. Also  those schools who are closed, Are not able to get a score report? Why not? If those applicants want to get their score transfer wouldn't that help NYBON remove those automatically. I am trying to understand. Thank you for taking the time to explain to us what is going on.

I want to know where I fall on, I went to Jersey College completed all course work at Jersey College. I have an exit exam by the department of education for Jersey College which JC was doing against an educational law in the state of NJ  

The Board reviewed and discussed language to be included in the nursing education regulations which allows programs to administer an exit exam but prohibits use of the exam as a barrier to graduation.

After discussion, the Board upon a motion made by Lucille Joel and duly seconded by James Doran voted to approve the proposed language to N.J.A.C. 13:37-1.21.

Many students were forced to transfer to Carleen to graduate bc JC was at fault. What Carleen did was a transfer of credits so that we could sit for the the NCLEX RN so many tested and passed for Florida, we live in NY  we need our license to work. I applied 4 weeks ago for endorsement. I want to know when I will get license, I need to work
Verification must be submitted by the school with a transcript that does not include course work completed at a program deemed unsatisfactory by the Department.  And with this I completed all course work at JC the school committed fraud then we went to JC to sit for NCLEX RN. I want to k ow what's going to happen with us. 
 

If you went a school that is Under Review by New York, does that mean that you will never get your Att?

JC is a hard school but the problem there is , they know what students are doing so they wait to the end because that's how they get people at exit.

"They know what the students are doing so they wait to the end bc that's how they get people at exit". What are the students doing? I passed on my own right. Nobody gave me anything nobody told me to go to JC. So what are the students doing? You may have better information than me
