I finished my LPN-RN program from Carleen Health Institute. I took the NCLEX under New York state board and passed the exam. I'd been waiting on the license a couple of weeks and decided to call NYbon, was told the school is under review - hence they would not be issuing any licenses till the review is done. They also wouldn't give a time frame. Does anyone have any idea how long these reviews usually take or what could be done in situations like this?

Listen schools can give transfer credit if they desire, they do it in the middle states and California. What I'm saying is that some never got to go the Florida route, their schools never sent for the authorization to test but still working. How and why is that possible

They had to get ATT# from somewhere they just probably don't want to tell u where

They gonna tell you where to go? Are they paying for it so that they have an opinion on it? NYS BON is affecting the livelihood of many people. Something needs to get done

You're regurgitating garbage. The person telling you they didn't go the Florida route is lying to you. The only way you can sit for the NCLEX is by a school sending your information to a board of nursing. If Jersey College did not send their information to a State Board of nursing so they can sit for the NCLEX what college did? You also can not work without a diploma/transcript so if Jersey College didn't give them their diploma because they didn't pass the exit exam how are they proving their educational credentials? I feel like someone can sell you air and you don't need supplemental oxygen you're very naive and gullible.
You guys are in a rush to be licensed talking about suing and the school you went to is under investigation won't benefit you because the employer won't hire you because of the school you went to even though there is no fraud or any type of disciplinary action on your license. I was offered a job at a hospital and they rescinded the offer because I went to Carleen this has happened multiple times.

Wow is this in NY?
Darp7288 said:What was happening was when you didn't pass the exit exam the school would put withdraw on your file so that meant you could not graduate with a diploma. Then those students would go to Florida and do a Review for the weekend pass a few exams and there name would be sent to the Board to get there Att. NY never said send your Diploma they just ask for your transcripts and these schools in Florida would take you if you were in your last semester or failed the exit exam . Then give you there transcripts from the new school as long as you could prove you went to a prior nursing school. Then you would recieve a diploma from the new school many many people were doing this. So the person who wrote above is totally correct what they are saying.
I wondered how the "pay for diploma worked", This is a great Illustration.

I thought I was missing something cause im over here thinking how did they not get an ATT the school has to send something for them to be eligible to take the exam but anyway . This is becoming more interesting

I went to Jersey college so I know for a fact that some people paid to get that ATT who they paid large amounts of money to? that to I don't know

Maybe you need to continue with your education and get a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Now if you only went to Carleen and paid cash you can trace your steps back and prove you actúa attended to school. You had to receive receipts paid for tickets get the written testimony of people who you were given your internship at different facilities and prove to your employer. But there's no such a thing as no prove whatsoever of attending to school. Also your computer memory has everything recorded even if erased so you can prove your actually attended to school but if you didn't how?
