Nybon Nursing School Under Investigation

I finished my LPN-RN program from Carleen Health Institute. I took the NCLEX under New York state board and passed the exam. I'd been waiting on the license a couple of weeks and decided to call NYbon, was told the school is under review - hence they would not be issuing any licenses till the review is done. They also wouldn't give a time frame. Does anyone have any idea how long these reviews usually take or what could be done in situations like this?

Curiously , I stumbled on Washington state board of nursing platform which  updated ( July 21st, 2023  )the list of FL state fraudulent schools from its previous 6 to 19 schools now. More schools were added after reviewing for their participation in the fraudulent act with the initial 6 major culprits listed on NYBON. I hope this get resolved on time by NYBON for those of us who did not go to any of these schools. This is really depressing !

wow did anyone see how washington state BON put the names of people whose licenses was rescinded  or applications were denied b/c of their florida nursing schools all out in the public

so this date is related to where the NYS BON is when it comes to processing new applications. the date has nothing to do with the schools underreview  or on hold

Many states, if not all of them, make disciplinary actions public. Maybe when someone looks up the individual license or via a newsletter. This would be like PA's newsletter published on their site to me.

Hey yall...

After 5 months of waiting, I just went ahead and asked FL for re-entry. I got my ATT today, and I'll be retesting soon. I'm so saddddd, but I can't lose sight of the end goal. It took me 7 years to pass, but at least now I know I can.

I pray something shakes soon because this isn't fair at all.

Reading this is so sad even though that's what some of us may have to do at the end it's just unfair. I wonder if they brought this situation up yesterday and today in their meeting.

It's like I feel so crushed and unheard, but at the same time just thankful that this is even an option. It's been a long road. I started studying a couple weeks ago. I don't plan to wait too long before retesting. Archer, NCLEX High Yield, and Nexus Nursing all over again.

When I spoke to the representative today, she told me their meetings have nothing to do with our situation. Another told me they knew nothing about the PDF discussing the decision for 9/27.

I just prayed and gave it to God. I hung up and proceeded to pay for my exam.

Did you mail in your application to FL  or online? I'm going to go up to my school to pick up my official transcript and mail everything together( unopened) so I can start the process without delaying

Which schools did u go

I went to Academy for nursing and Health Occupations
