I finished my LPN-RN program from Carleen Health Institute. I took the NCLEX under New York state board and passed the exam. I'd been waiting on the license a couple of weeks and decided to call NYbon, was told the school is under review - hence they would not be issuing any licenses till the review is done. They also wouldn't give a time frame. Does anyone have any idea how long these reviews usually take or what could be done in situations like this?

NYS is very strict when it comes to licensing therefore they wouldn't allow those students to sit for the NCLEX if they didn't meet the requirements.
I've heard they are very strict mainly because they aren't a compact state
The way carleen was sending those students name out to the board of course it was a matter of time before they start looking into them plus carleen NCLEX rate is quite low.

They shouldn't be sending names no more . The RN program was terminated in 2020 so that might've drew a Time for investigation
I'm not gonna lie NYS college education is great the board wanted to close my program because of low retention rate but was passing the board with flying colors. Therefore they would let scam go by unnoticed

Wanted to close because of a low retention rate? Seemed to be too good?

Wow really? How long does school investigations last? What is the process? This will great know how long the wait will be until license is finally given.
I think they were on probation around 2020 don't they have multiple locations? Plus I don't see their name on flbon I think those people didn't pass their NCLEX around then. I think they were still sending people out for the board even in 2022
I went to a cuny school

Probably the last set didn't do well and they finally terminated the program..... but I saw on fl BON they terminated in 2020 so after 2020 no one should've sat for boards if you didn't graduate in 2020 so that's probably why people having a hard time getting licenses. Because if you check fl BON it says pn not RN
@Gators they would start the program with 24 students by the end of the program they would have only 8, 11 ,10 he would keep most of the students out by the first semester

unfortuantley I can't answer the question on the how long an investiation can last me I don't personally have a hand in that review process or decison making. I am apart of the people who actually get and process the infromation given for an application. I can only speculate like you guys on what can take so long. when you are on the bottom of line you are not given much infromation we are simply told school under review don't make anyone who graduated from that school no matter when elgible for NCLEX of licensed until further notice. so while it may seem like you aren't get ting much information when you call in is because we aren't given and real infromation to give out
