I finished my LPN-RN program from Carleen Health Institute. I took the NCLEX under New York state board and passed the exam. I'd been waiting on the license a couple of weeks and decided to call NYbon, was told the school is under review - hence they would not be issuing any licenses till the review is done. They also wouldn't give a time frame. Does anyone have any idea how long these reviews usually take or what could be done in situations like this?

London Flo since you are so knowledgeable you can look them up. You look everything else up. I can tell you one of them was located in Westchester County NY and has since closed. The other is a NY SUNY school which lost their Accreditation for there BSN program and left students just hanging. So as I said sometimes even the legit well known good reputation schools have issues too its unfortunate. So No London Flo you don't know everything. Many people still sit NCLEX after their program is closed some many years later like I said it depends on the school you went too. Folks try another State Board for NCLEX testing and hopefully you will Be able to get a ATT. My coworker just got one from another State last week with no issues and her school has been closed since 2019 and is on the list for NY. So folks you can't listen to everything London Flo says some of the info he says is true but some is not try for yourself like I said it all depends on what school you went to and did they voluntary close or where they closed down by the board this is what my coworker was told before she applied to a New State.

I stand by what I said. I have quoted the FBON, The Florida Statutes and the National Council of State Boards of Nursing. All reputable and legal sources.
I am not trying to be negative. I feel that you were swindled. I support you getting your license ASAP. What to do? Be active! don't wait hoping..
I still say contact your legislator instead of just 'hoping'. I too hope that you will get the Professional Registered Nursing License you worked hard for. You worked hard for the recognition and knowledge you obtained to make our health care a better place in the future.
Your US Congressional men and women work for you. Call them. You have nothing to lose and may be a lot to gain. Isn't this an ACTION better than waiting and hoping?

Yes, provide the actual documentation instead of 'I heard'.

Okay no names to back your claim,
In all my sincerity I will look to validate your claims above if you give me accurate information. . But distracting me from what is happening with FLORIDA grads is why I got involved on this thread.
As I said Darp, I am not attacking you. I am trying to help those effected with a graduation from a Florida school not getting recognition in NYS. We need to all work together to get these Florida graduates recognized for their accomplishments (completion of an RN program, some seeking ATT or some passing NCLEX.)
We all will provide a strong support of professional nursing. at AN. I say 'get 'it done'. Let's work together to get these graduates the RN they deserve!
The political process is for all of us to hold the law accountable. Please contact your US representative to support the effected graduates.

I am sorry but checking flights and dates of when a person went is not a valid proof that they were an actual student at the school. flight information is saying you went to that city and state.
@starr2022. What about proof of class work, exams, recordings of class lectures?
Has these school been under review for more than a year already?
@starr2022 yes but that will at least tell that u were present in that city. Cause people buying there way don't even attend the city

NYS BON is not going to care that you have a plane ticket showing proof you were in the city that day still does not mean you were a enrolled student at that school
@T Jasmine three years thats crazy. I think thats untrue. I know someone that went another school and waited a long time and they still didn't allow them to take boards or transfer. And threes pasted long time.
I think NYBON tells u anything cause they won't give info
They should at least check school records and class and clinicals where u attended
