If  new York state has your nursing school under review you will not be granted a license whether you already took exam for another state or took the exam under New York state

Was anyone who got their Florida license able to endorse to another state other than NY ?

Star2022- What do you mean you will not get a license if you took your exam at another state.  If Florida doesn't have a problem with the school that you went to in Florida. They will give you your license. Florida BON will give you a license because you went to school in their state. There are two different states.

Star2022- I apologize! I read your post wrong. I thought you meant we couldn't get a license period from another state.  You were saying if you wanted to apply through NYC BON whether you pass an exam by another state. Once your school is under review nobody won't get a license until the review is done basically, and back in good standing. Sorry for the miscommunication.

Hi, star22 I am trying to under what you posted is possible that you can transfer your credits from the school? They did give me information on where I can obtain my transcript for the RN course that I received an associate degree. I want to move on I don't know when this review going end my life is on hold. I was planning to get my BSN. I thought you have to give  them a license number to fill out the application process for BSN

Hi, Star22 I read your post If the school I went to in Florida is under review in Ny BON. Can I retake the state board exam in Florida? I did pass the RN board in NY I am beside myself donot know what to do since July 22

I don't believe they will let you retake when school is under review.

Thank you I am going to call the Florida board of nursing. What are your plans? I can get a transcript from the school I attended want to do my BSN but I thought you have to get a license first.

No problem, I plan on starting my BSN at UTA-Arlington online this January 2023. Well there are programs that do allow you to start without a license(pre-licensure) but just the first course after that you will need your license.

 you need a license to do your BSN. Florida will not let u take the exam if u already took it in another state and passed. They will want your scores sent from that BON and if not able to get it , you will have to wait for hold to been taken off
