Only the NCLEX exam has reciprocity. You need to apply for licensure by endorsement to the new state. Licenses do not have reciprocity.

Hi Suzanne.
I recently got my NY RN license and now looking for a job. I would like to practice in NJ too so I would have a wider range of potential employers.
When I apply for license endorsement, does it mean I transfer my licensure to NJ or I'm getting another RN license (get licensed both in NY and NJ)?
Do I need a certain amount of work experience in NY first before I could apply for licensure by endorsement in NJ? (because the application form asks for names of employers and period of employment)
NJ BON also asks for license verification from NY BON. Can I do that through Nursys online so it's faster?
I would appreciate your reply
