well check on moster dot com, you graduated with a BSN in nursing it wont be hard to find a job i was not granted an interview at a hospital b/c i have a AAS. but NYU medical center is hiring, columbia presbyterian, lenoxhill, the city hospitals, mount sanai..... and i cold go on for ever but go online and apply and go to the hospitals too... good luck :)
Hi piel canela, have an account on monster.com and check every day. I have applied to all of the above hospitals and have not even gotten a phone call. I am beginning to wonder if there is really a nurses shortage in NYC. It is very frustrating to hit a wall everytime you apply for a position. The only thing they said by email was that they don't have any positions for new nurses.
that's weird i receive an email from NY presbyterian asking me to send them my resume and i did, but they turned my down cuz i dont have a BSN i checked yesturday and mount sinai has alot of openings.... if that does not work then you should find some one who knows some one at a hospital and get in.

I just got hired at Montefiore in peds heme/onc as a new grad with ADN. I am so surprised you are having problems with a BSN as most places here will not look at you without one. i went to Beth Israel SON and most of my friends are taking jobs at a continuum hospital so I know there are positions there, but the salary is much better at Monte. Where are you wanting to work, manhattan or are you open to another borough, what specialty? I know there are plenty of positions open at the Westchester Co. hospitals also, and if you move up there there is no city tax which is a huge bonus. Just a hop skip and jump from Grand Central and you might actually get a yard.
