Ny BOCES LPN Exam

I am taking the BOCES LPN entrance exam this feb, and have been preparing with a review book I purchased.

Some of the questions, seemed difficult...then, when I got my registration confirmation from BOCES, it included sample questions all of which were really simple, such as "If you have $20 and spend $11, how much do you have left?"

Has anyone taken this particular exam and had this experience? Is the test one standard exam across the country?

I hear you can study a GED Math and Reading book.
