NWFSC RN Fall 2016 Admission

Hi there! Anyone else applying for the Fall semester at NWFSC? I am about to take the first attempt for the hesi and I am little nervous! How are your scores looking so far?

I think it's an additional math, humanities, social science, English comp 2, and 1 or 2 more.

I'm taking nutrition and microbiology this summer. Are you taking micro at the niceville campus? I already have my AA, but I didn't take those classes when I got it so I still have to take them. I also plan on doing RN to BSN.

I took micro with Dr. Mitchell at the Niceville campus last spring. She was a fill in teacher for the micro teacher who was pregnant. That class was extremely hard for me. I'm taking psychology over the summer in Niceville because it counts as an elective for my AA and can be applied to nursing.

That's what I wanted to do to was the RN to BSN. I actually got lectured by one of the advisors for not applying to the program before the changed points system, but my car was broken so there was nothing I could do.

Just found there are 20 on the alternate list and 18 got accepted last year!!! :)

Right now, all I'm taking is Human Growth & Development online. Summer semester I'll be taking Nutrition online and Microbiology in Niceville.

Speaking off which, if any of you have used materials from those classes that you recently took yourself, let me know. I try to get my books that way. It's hard to know if that'll work though, or if you will still have buy a super expensive online access code anyway, because you got a used book. If you have firsthand knowledge of what's needed for those, I would appreciate it. For micro do you know if we need to buy a lab coat and a box of gloves like the bookstore list says?

Speaking of lab coats and such, do you guys know what our clinical uniform looks like? I've seen nursing students in pictures on the school's website wearing all white and wearing white tops with red pants. I was curious which it is.

Nutrition has an access code but micro didn't whenever I took it. Micro also didn't require lab gloves or coat but I had a fill in teacher who never taught it.

I think the nurses wear red uniforms.
