Hi there,
I haven't seen a thread for this yet and there has been one for just about every semester at MEC, so I decided to make one.
I'm currently studying for the TEAS and I've printed out the Fall 2018 application to work on but there are some very confusing elements (and possibly typos?) on it so I plan on asking on Monday. Since they changed nearly everything from previous years I feel like they made some mistakes (possibly).
Is anyone else a little confused? For instance, they tell you not to get a background check until notified to do so, but the complete checklist on the application they give you instructs you to initial that you've completed the background check.
Does anyone else have any questions about it?
I was told by one of the Nursing instructors and by one of the counselors that the rationale for reopening the application period to accept more students was due to the fact that they are not going to have a Spring Online/Hybrid program next year. The instructor told me that because of this, they were looking to accept closer to 200 students for the Fall Semester to help make up for the number of applicants they would typically have for next Spring. This is all hearsay, but that came from two different people on campus.
I am asking for my friend. she got an email stating that she has provisionally accepted. what does this mean?
Provisionally accepted means they got in assuming they pass the background and drug test and show up for orientation. Just a heads up, it is a urine drug test. If you don't pass either or don't show up for orientation, they'll rescind your acceptance.

thank you so much. I applied already. This test caused a lot of headache to me. I wish if they just make an exception this time.
