I am starting a new thread to track cases from NVC - embassy to GC.
The best news for RN in China, Phillippines and India has been great and informative thread, but I think it is more appropriate and convenient if we start a new thread.
Also with the rapid scheduling of interviews for most of us, I am looking beyond the CP and anticipating the GC!
The August interview schedules are out already in India, and recently in the Philippines and hopefully in China.
Here is my case details
Category : EX Schedule A
USCIS receipt : April 2004
Processing Center : Vermont
I-140 approved : October 2004
NVC case number : MNL2004813XXX

Packet 3 sent back to NVC : May 3, 2005
NVC case completed : May 16, 2005
Consular Interview : August 29, 2005

NCLEX will expire Mid 2009. -- California didnt email me back yet with regards to extension, sooo sad
Hi!
Yes, it has been a long wait for all us; but I am very positive that something wonderful will happen in the coming days!
BTW, I have a friend who requested CABON for an extension. Luckily, she was given another year. She wrote a formal letter, not thru e-mail.
My best regards:wink2:

hello neneng06. well, i think that's what really happend. maybe visas for the 1st quarter were already exhausted. ( in 2 months!) and also there were no explanations given about eb categories in the dec vb either. anyway, let's just pray and hope that at the start of the 2nd quarter in jan2009, everything will move again.
Good day to all,
I heard from our agencie's coordinator that DS230 forms and other requirements are to be updated every 6 months. I just want to ask if anyone knew of this ? I hope and pray NOT! Its very hard and expensive to accomplish all the forms and sent it , let alone every 6 mos. More so with my case I have 3 dependents, my 2 kids and my husband who is a seaman which i had a hard time getting all his papers done when he is on board the ship .That is why I am worried and apprehensive if this is true.

Just to clear up a few things:
The NCLEX exam does not expire, what is expiring is the application for licensure with the BRN for CA. One has three years from the date on the letter that they passed the exam until the file is destroyed if a SSN# is not presented to them. The only way to obtain the SSN# is when one goes in person to the Social Security Administration office and applies for it in person in the US and one must possess a visa that will permit you to work to obtain it.
Even though you may have received an extension from the BRN for one year, it will be in your best interest to go ahead and get licesned in another state to protect your results. There is still a very good chance that most will not make it to the US by the time the one year extension expires.
Best of luck to all of you that are waiting.

Do you happen to know if New Jersey has this policy too? I passed NCLEX December of 2007. I emailed them documents which prove that I'm a foreign graduate but until now there is no feedback. I'm worried about my application too. Kindly please advise. Thank you!

Hello Mariel7. Try talking to the operator, I heard that the AVR is not always updated. A friend of mine called NVC just now and the operator said that visas are available, you just have to wait for your PD to be current. Well, that's what the operator said....
