NVC -CP- GC Tracker

Published

I am starting a new thread to track cases from NVC - embassy to GC.

The best news for RN in China, Phillippines and India has been great and informative thread, but I think it is more appropriate and convenient if we start a new thread.

Also with the rapid scheduling of interviews for most of us, I am looking beyond the CP and anticipating the GC!

The August interview schedules are out already in India, and recently in the Philippines and hopefully in China.

Here is my case details

Category : EX Schedule A

USCIS receipt : April 2004

Processing Center : Vermont

I-140 approved : October 2004

NVC case number : MNL2004813XXX

Packet 3 sent back to NVC : May 3, 2005

NVC case completed : May 16, 2005

I hope you can also post here your details interview experience.

God bless!

And I still remember several times in my career when there were no visas given to nurses for a period of close to five years. This is not something new that has been going on for only the past few years.

From www.immigration-information.com/

Ron Gotcher: "Once an I-140 is approved, the beneficiary gets to keep the priority date forever and use it for any future I-140 filed on his or her behalf. It doesn't matter if you are processing in the US or abroad. The rules are the same in this regard."

Well maybe you could explain why I had to go through the process and start all over and get a new PD 18 months after my first approval. Not my fault that the first hospital backed out

you said that your attorney had recently received the visa bill, when that is received and paid, that is when one gets the ds-230 to complete, so not sure how you have everything done if the bill was just received.

there are too many holes in this story that are not adding up at all to me.

all you did was cover the expenses that the first employer paid out, nothing more than that; and nothing that would permit you to maintain the same pd date.

this just means that someone made a big screw-up, nothing more than that. but still like to know how you have everything complete if the bill was just paid; that is also an extremely big mistery to all of us.

sorry but as far as i could remember, i never had said that my lawyer had just recently paid the visa fee bill even if you'll read my previous posts. all i did was i posted the email sent by my lawyer to me last april 09 2008 which is roughly 6months ago. in that email, i just intending to let you know that the lawyer had verified to nvc regarding my pd. they have also notified me in that email that they have received the visa fee bill that week.

that email was april 2008 and now its october 2008. it has been six months now so i dont think its a big mystery that i am now documetarily qualified.

i wanna repost that email:

good day attorney. i just would like to know some few things. hoping for answers.

1.) i am confused with my immigrant petition approval notice. as you can observe, in the approval notice ( packet 2 ), it is clearly stated that my priority date is august 2005. it is kinda surprising because that is actually the priority date given to me by my previous immigrant visa filing with my previous petitioner. what would happen then? would there be no problems with this?

got his email dated april 9, 2008 which i posted here earlier:

"

we have verified this with nvc and they have stated that since there was a previous i-140 petition filed on your behalf they’ll carry over the priority date stated in that petition to your new petition. they have resumed the processing of your paper and have send out the new visa fee bill this week to our office. as such, there’s is a great chance that you can land here while we’re retrogression and you might be our very first candidate to be handed to cape fear valley.

with regard to your consulate, our i-140 shows that we have requested jeddah as your preferred consulate but nvc in granting you the earlier priority date also followed the old requested riyadh consulate. we can change this but this will delay the processing because nvc will require several documents and correspondence before they approve this. based on our experience the delay may be between 5 to 8 more months. we suggest that you keep this riyadh consulate to avoid further delay and complications

i gues this wont be a big mystery now. i had a private message for you. kindly read it if you got time. thank you as always

I am sorry that you had to start all over again. As Suzanne says, in the present scenario there is a high probability that petitioners may be unwilling to bring in foreign nurses. Many nurses have been waiting for years and I am just trying to find out what options a nurse has in such a case.

From what I read, it is possible for an applicant to have a new petition filed through another petitioner after having an earlier approved petition, and unless the earlier approved petition is withdrawn by the petitioner formally and hence revoked, the PD can be retained for the new approved petition. I am not trying to prove anyone wrong or point out faults nor am I giving my personal opinion in this. All the information is available on the net and anyone can check it out.

Although moot now as I am staying in Canada but I applied before retrogression started and even got approval in 3 days which was very fast

Dhel? are you refering to the october 2008 visa bulletin? coz november's not out yet..

hello guys..hope you could still answer my questions..so stressed these past few days..done with my medical exam at st lukes...

1. How would I know if there's a problem with my health?

2. I still don't have the updated job offer/employment contract and my interview date is within this coming week.My agency told me that it's already in transit and nothing to worry about. How would I answer the consul's question in case he asks the job offer?

3.What are the questions being asked by the consul? Although I'm already an nclex passer, i'm still worried if he would still ask questions about nursing(hehehe).:D

4. Would you please guys help me to lessen my anxieties with my incoming interview with my family..:(

Thank you..

pretty neirelle,

1. If there was any problems regarding your medicals, the doctors at St. Luke's would have told you and advised you what to do next. If the doctors there did not mention anything about you or your family members, then all is fine.

2. As soon as you receive the updated job offer, make sure all data about you and the employer is accurate.

3. Expect the consul to ask you with personal info, previous work experience and particular things about your employer/hospital(address, salary, current job description, etc.).I dont think they will ask you on technical matters on nursing but if they do then you would probably just ace it. Your family members will be asked simple questions regarding their personal data, relatives in US and your relationship with them. My advise is to answer each question with simple, short, direct, and truthful answers. Answer only what is being asked from you. Basically, the questions are for confirmations of the facts on the documents that you have submitted to them and they are just verifying it.

Relax , be confident and be yourself during the interview. Dress simply and accordingly(not too formal or not too casual). Lastly, be friendly by smiling often. God bless and have faith that you and your family will get your visas.
