NVC -CP- GC Tracker

Published

I am starting a new thread to track cases from NVC - embassy to GC.

The best news for RN in China, Phillippines and India has been great and informative thread, but I think it is more appropriate and convenient if we start a new thread.

Also with the rapid scheduling of interviews for most of us, I am looking beyond the CP and anticipating the GC!

The August interview schedules are out already in India, and recently in the Philippines and hopefully in China.

Here is my case details

hi, jakey

where you about to complete the documents prior to retrogression? when was your completion date? how can it expire if it's not even a year yet? what's going on? should i call my lawyer and ask if the NVC mailed my DS230 forms again?

HI Leis23!

completion date was just 3 weeks before retro set in. PD date early May 2007.so my ds230 forms are what, a year old? this is really confusing...I emailed my lawyer today, and still waiting for a response from her. fruity has already called her lawyer and has a response. the scary line here the "6 to 8 weeks to process" gggrrrr!:uhoh3: and to think we only have until SEP or OCT....well hopefully, til the end of the year....time to hear it from our lawyers indeed.

I guess you meant PD May 2006. So if your PD is May 2006, you have to undergo i140 and all that stuff... your ds230 is less than a year... I don't have any concrete answers to share coming from the NVC and my lawyer though I think that if your case were already completed and if only ds230 had expired why should it take them 6-8 weeks?.... The problem with these lawyers is that we are the first ones to know if there is a problem and even if we say so they actualy don't try to "investigate" on it..... I think they are more on the waiting part like if they don't recieve anything from the NVC or a notice or something, they won't be alarmed:madface:

I email the NVC almost everyday and praying for a change on my message. i'll keep you posted if there is a change.:o

hi, fruity!

i reread the previous posts in this thread. gracie08 had the same case as ours but eventually the latest email she received from NVC is that "this case is eligible for further processing.." after receiving messages that indicated she lacked some documents or was it visa fee bill??..etc etc. i think the representatives we get to talk to on the phone are at a loss too since their computer system is going bonkers right now. the same message is still playing for my case "..we found some documents missing and incomplete. The NVC mailed a letter last Aug 30, 2006.. etc. etc.." which was exactly the same message I received prior to my completion. And when I talk to the NVC representatives they say conflicting stuffs like my DS-230 has not been received yet..and that they have expired. I asked her how long is the DS-230 forms good for, she said 1 year. How can that be if my DS-230 was received July 2006..and I sent it Aug 2006? It's not even a year yet. Let's just wait and see and hope for the best. Good luck to all of us!

my packet 3 was completed october 26, 2006, and now the nvc is asking for my ds230 and affidavit of support based on their email. i emailed my lawyer regarding this matter, and this is her reply: (i received this email yesterday prior to the issuance of visa bulletin for the month of july)

hello monroe,

i read over your email and response. as we have advised you before your priority date is still not current.

by contacting the nvc you are only delaying processing of your own case as well as other's cases. we would appreciate it if you left contacting the nvc up to us since we are the attorney's that valley baptist hospital have hired to represent you and the hospital.

as for the response from nvc, basically it seems that they have confused your case with someone else's case. first of all you do not need an i-864 form because your petition is employment based not family based. i-864 forms are only involved in family based cases not employment. second, yes your ds-230 packet has been approved and we have record that it has been approved.

hopefully this news helps to answer some of your questions

i think NVC is really have a problem with regards to their system. let's give them time to sort it out.

fruity, my pd is indeed first week of may 2006...thanks for correcting the mistake.

monroe, "by contacting the nvc you are only delaying processing of your own case as well as other's cases"

oh oh.....we have been doing a lot of nvc inquiries hahhaha i guess we just have to learn to be patient and listen to our lawyers.

Hi,

Does a case with still i140 pending have a chance to be in queue to get visa by sept or oct.

I just talk to one of the representatives at the NVC, he didn't mention anything about expiration of ds230. What he said was they didn't recieve any, though our birth certificates, marriage cert, etc is there..... it's wierd and impossible for our lawyer to send NVC with just certificates and leave the ds230 behind... What he advised me to do is give the lawyer some more time because the have sent another letter of instructions, printed June 4, 2007. and I should give more time for the mailing and stuff, I don't know what will happen next. I just hope Leis23 is correct.

Hi Leis23... I hope you're correct on this... what about the representative said about the printing of the new letter to be sent to the lawyer?.... I don't think I can relax on this.... :uhoh3: I pray for a miracle on this.......
