a few students are getting into a debate about this, if calories are absorbed in the stomach & small intestine or just the small intestine. doesnt help that we are hearing different things from different professors...

What exactly did you ask the professors? That might account for the different things from different professors, especially if you worded it differently to different profs. Not all nutrients are absorbed through the small intestine but most of the rest are absorbed through the large intestine rather than the stomach. Probably not absolutely none are absorbed through the stomach wall but it is negligible enough that a prof could reasonably say none. Especially to students in beginner level classes. No slam on beginners because there is sooooo much complexity in physiology.

As you get futher into your physiology class you will learn that some nutrients that are very essential to the health are absorbed through the PCT, loop of henle, and the DCT. Which is all in the urinary tract so to answer your question no.
