Hi all,
I'm female, about 6'1" barefoot, and want to find the lowest platform/heel nursing student shoes possible. I also have a high arch and do need support. Can anyone recommend a specific (white) shoe? To make things worse, I wear an 11 or 11 1/2, depending on the shoe.
Danskos and clog-like shoes are just too tall; I ordered some Sketchers GoWalk 2s online, but they are way too devoid of support for my high arches. I need to be on my feet for 10-ish hour clinicals come this fall.
What can I say? I am quite Amazonian.
Thanks very much for any input!
Thanks for the suggestions, everyone!
I ordered the Birkenstock Linz Super Grip, but when they arrived in the mail, the toe box was very wide, and they didn't fit me very well. But, I tried on a pair of Brooks Addiction Walkers in a nearby town, and ordered my size in white leather. I'm picking them up tomorrow, and may even buy inserts to give even more arch support.
Again, I really appreciate all your suggestions. :)

Ok - so it looks like the Birkenstock Alpro G500 SGs are discontinued. BUT I just ordered the new generation shoe: the Birkenstock Linz Super Grip in white leather. They have the cork footbed, arch support and add very little height. These were super expensive for nursing school, but I don't care. :)
Question: Is there something that nurses spray on their new nursing shoes to make them less porous? I'm thinking of the future, when they may be vomited upon, or c.diff may splattered on them, etc.
Thanks!
