Hi everyone! I have a question, I am a nursing student who is about to graduate next year, May 2010 but I intended to go to grad school the following fall of 2010 but I would like to find either a part-time or full time job at a clinic or a private office, particularly in Ob/Gyn. The reason why I am not looking at hospital is because I do not believe I can do a night shift (since I am a new grad) and go to school during the day. What are people's opinions and suggestions about new grads and clinics/private offices? Do they hire new grads? and one more question how and where do I start looking for jobs? ( I live in NYC)
thank you!

...try the help wanted section of your local newspaper...
...after that...get your cities phone book and open it up...
contact each office (of interest/specialty) in your area. speak directly to the office manager and inform him/her of your intentions (completing a nursing program and continuing on to grad school). you may be able to set up an appointment interview. you'll be surprised. many office managers are willing to bring students in their final semesters as well as new grads into their employ. if they like you/your work ethics, they may train you (their way), assist with paying for your advanced degree and have a position for you upon completion.
good luck!!!
