Pathophysiological Changes of Hepatocellular Cancer of Liver?

  1. Hi guys, I'm a first year nursing student and recently we have been given an assignment with a certain question that i can't wrap my mind around. i have done my research regarding Hepatocellular cancer of liver and i understand the disease. I am also aware that pathophysiology is the meaning of what happens in the body that leads to the disease, but when it says describe the pathophysiological changes of the disease, is that simply the same idea just written differently? Im sorry if its a stupid question having a major thinking blockage.

Describe what happens to not only the liver, but other systems in the body when the liver is not functioning properly. At least, that is my interpretation of this. The liver is amazing and it is responsible for many different functions. It's a good assignment!

Think post vs. pre. Not what changes lead to the disease, but what changes occur as a result of.

What does a normal liver function look like and how does it affect physiology? What changes in these processes occur after a cancer growth?
