Am I setting the problem up wrong? Dosage Calc question...

I can not for the life of me see where I am going wrong, this is the only question I've been hung up on. The question reads

"How many mL of Levofloxacin (Levaquin) will you give in each does? Round to the nearest whole number"

Levofloxacin (25 mg/mL) at 16mg/kg/day, divided q12h.

Ok, what I have already answered for other questions is the fact that the patient weighs 92 kg (202.4lbs) , the previous question also asked how many mg of Levofloxacin will I give in 24 hours, I answered 1472 mg, the answer was correct. Now as far as how I set the equation up to answer the above question

736mg(1mL/25mg) (i did 736 because it is half of 1472 which is the dosage for the entire day) maybe this is where I am going wrong... any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

The correct answer is 9mL , I just haven't been able to arrive at it yet :/

I get 29 mL every 12 hours. Perhaps the 9 is a typo???

I can't seem to get 9 mls either.9 mls would only give a dose of 225mg? I get 29 mls which is a heck of a lot to give!

I got 29mL also!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have sat here for an hour perplexed, I even started dinner late because I was frazzled :/

9 mL x 25mg/mL is a dose of 225 mg. This is clearly wrong if the patient's daily dose is 1472 mg divided q 12hr. 9 mL has to be a typo... the answer should be 29 mL but that is a LOT of medicine to be giving. I hope this person has a feeding tube if you need to administer this volume of medication. ;)

This was a case study on Calculate with Confidence, a self study program we have to do for Concepts. I wish it were more instructor led for situations such as this :/

Straight up, the answer for the given parameters is 29 mL. It's not subjective, it's simple math. The answer that you were provided is wrong.

It sucks to waste so much time trying to get to an impossible answer.

The good news is, you know what you're doing!

I also found it very tacky that there were no tutorials or anything as to how they came up with their answer! I checked the book and other modules but nothing. You'd think they'd know better than to give an answer without a rationale *shrugs*
