Nursing specialty

How do you guys pick/ figure out your nursing specialty? My top three are er, or , and on/gyn & I wanna get to know mine being that I start nursing school next year ( if I get accepted ). I wanna start looking into the specialty I choose and such as shadowing & things like that.

    If you're not in nursing school yet, I would say not to even think about picking a specialty, unless you are in a country where schools are set up that way. You may think you like something going in, only to find that another specialty is where you find your home. I went into nursing school convinced I wanted to do peds or OB. Guess which specialties were my least favorite? Keep an open mind.

    Thanks for the advice!! I was thinking that too but everyone else is all set on what they are doing and I was just like hmm idek what I wanna do! Haha but they will probably change their mind during nursing school as well

    Yep, they will most likely change their minds in school.

    On a side note, if you aren't yet a nurse, you can't have it in your username unless you add 2B or something like that.
