Nursing Schools in Missouri

Published

Hello!

Im a current high school junior, and Ive been interested in nursing for years. I was wondering what you guys thought are some of the better schools that offer nursing programs in Missouri. If you have the time, include pros, cons, job placement after school and costs. My act score is a 31 and my GPA is 3.8.

Thanks!!

Hello Neo,

After high school, you will need to take several pre-requisite classes before you can apply for nursing school. These classes are offered by many institutions. The most economical ones are from community colleges; some of which may also offer associate of science degree in nursing.

Before you enroll in a nursing school program, I recommend you to log on to Search ACEN Accredited Nursing Programs to search schools/programs offered in Missouri that are accredited by ACEN.

Costs vary by institution. Private are more expensive and easier to get in; public are cheaper and more competitive to get in. Your GPA is excellent! I'm not familiar with the ACT scores, so I can't offer my opinion.

Nursing schools may offer you guidance and point you to job fairs and similar activities, but they do not place their students for jobs. That's going to be on you.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, Devon!
