nursing schools in CA and NY

Published

Hi everyone,

Can anyone help me . I have applied to CC in Ca and have been on the waitlist for about a year now. I want to go ahead and apply to private colleges with nursing programs in NY and CA? Can anyone help me with some colleges in these areas? Also, is there a requirement to take the NETs to get into nursing programs in these areas.

Yeah I mean you can just google it. The only ones I've been able to find in the southern part of Cali are far away from where I live such as, Riverside, Loma Linda, Los Angeles, and San Diego. I want a private school BSN program in Orange County but I can't seem to find anything. There are RN to BSN programs but I need a basic BSN program.

There is this private Christian school in Michigan called Hope. The campus looks beautiful and it is exactly what I want! Too bad I would have to relocate to Michigan!!:o

Specializes in CVICU, CCU, SICU, MICU.

I'm not sure about Orange County, but Mt. St. Mary's in LA is supposed to be a really good program. Also, all of the UCLAs have good programs, they offer BSNs or direct-entry MSNs (MECN). I'm applying to 3 ADN programs this month, and if I don't get straight into one of those, I'm going to look into the Master's (I have a BS in Music) at UCLA. Cal State also has some BSN or MECN programs. If you're looking for other private schools, in LA I know there's Biola and Azusa Pacific, I'm sure there's lots more. Hope that helps!

you know applying to 3 schools at once is a really great idea! i hear the school i am going to, like any where else, is that there are so many applicants. after this semester (hoping i do well) i am only 3 credits away from finishing my pre-reqs for my school.

thanks for the idea...i will definitely look into applying to other cc's just in case. i want to finish everything soon so i can move on to get my bsn and eventually my msn.
