Bon Secours SON is in Richmond. In the Hamton Roads area, there you have several different options. Below are the programs that are NLN accredited. There are other options as well (but they are not currently accredited at the RN level).

Second Degree BSN: Norkfolk State and Hampton University

Associate Degree: Thomas Nelson CC, Tidewater CC, Norfolk State

Diploma prorgams: Riverside and Sentara

I'm looking to apply to Bon Secours Richmond program, do you know anything about his program?

All I know is that I had to go to the ER at St. Frances and a graduate of the Bon Secours program took care of me and she was fantastic! She knew her stuff, was kind and compassionate.

Hi Everyone,

I am new here as well. I saw that the Bon Secours diploma was mentioned, and I thought I'd add that they have recently tailored their program a bit, to better serve the students in Hampton Roads that are interested in the program, rather than just the immediate Richmond area. From what I've heard on the radio, the Bon Secours diploma nursing program will have just two days of classes that are actually in Richmond (which of course means that students only have to make the drive twice a week). Clinicals will be arranged in the local Hampton Roads area. So that is great news for the people interested in doing that!

hi nursingstudent08,

hope you got your info for the nsu nursing program. i too have a bachelors in another field and was looking for a 2nd degree program. i was very happy when i found out about nsu's program. though, as it turned out, their second degree program wasn't the best fit for me and i decided to apply for the associate degree program instead. i will be finding out within the next couple of weeks!
