any specific requirement for a foreigner to take nursing school in the philippines. i am a licensed psychiatric technician in the usa and i would like to take second courser in nursing. also any school near tandang sora or mapayapa village. :trout: thanks
you need to apply for a student visa, you can stay here for a year if you were balikbayan without a student visa, Im also a student here but I didnt apply for a student visa because there's a lot of requirements needed that I dont have, but I go on vacation in the u.s. every summer to avoid overstaying here, lanting college and st. james both school offer nurses located in tandang sora
Dr.Carlos Lanting College of Nursing does accept second coursers. I have classmates who are already immigrants in the US, but they just went back here to study nursing.
this school is located in Tandang Sora, QC and also offers night classes for working students.
it's really hard to juggle between work and studies...but you can handle it as long as you have the determination, the will, and a little skill in time management. :)
hi would like to ask coz i wanted to take nursing course as my 2nd course but still not yet sure what school should i take? can anyone here give me some advice. And i would like to ask is it hard to take nclex exam.
I would take the time to do some reading on this forum. The second courser programs are now three years in length minimum. If you train in the Philippines, you are always going to be considered a foreign-trained RN and will have to meet additional requirements for licensure in every single state in the US. Suspect that is where you wish to work since you have mentioned the NCLEX exam.
Also be aware that if you hold Philippine citizenship, then we are seeing more and more states require the NLE before they will grant permission to test as well.
Best of luck to you with what ever you decide.
