Nursing school making me sick

Published

It has only been 5 weeks into the nursing program and my blood pressure is rising. MY usual BP is under 120/80. 1st week in the program it went to 130/84. Yesterday 148/100. I can only think that it is the stress of the nursing program. I've cut my salt intake to almost nothing. My BP goes down on the weekend to almost normal values. I have to admit, I find nursing school stressful and honestly, I am not loving it. Still, I have never had this happen before.

Anyone else having this problem?

Welcome to the world of nursing, by the time your done you will have had every illness known to man and then some. I am currently going back to school for my masters in CCN and still continue to develop new illnesses everyday!!! Hang in there it will get easier:uhoh3:

i agree...i have had everything we have studied so far.:) it doesnt get easier though...I have never known stress and anxiety like this before! It will all be worth it though..just keep telling yourself that..sometimes its the only way you make it through....
