Hello All Nurses friends. I need your input. How does your nursing school handle the required forms, such as immunizations, CPR verification, background check, drug screen, etc... ? The paper forms are overwhelming, and I am interested in your nursing school's process for submitting these forms. Thank you so much and everyone have a great day!

What do you mean "how does your nursing school handle the required forms" ? They tell you either on the website or by mail what is required. Then you as the prospective nursing student completes the requirements. How much easier can it get?

If it is to "overwhelming" to get basic requirements to begin nursing school you are in for a long road. Good luck man...just go do it!

Usually you just hand them in in-person or mail them in.

I wasn't clear. Sorry. I want to know how your school wants you to submit the forms. Either electronically to a secure site or turn in paper copies. My school wants everything in a paper form. That's fine, I will do it. But my friend who is applying at another nearby school tells me that her nursing department wants them to set up an account with a background checking site which maintains all kinds of records. She uploads all forms to this site and the school checks the site. Her school doesn't want any paper forms. It just seems more efficient to submit forms electronically. Oh, well, I will do whatever it takes. I really appreciate the good luck wish. I am sure I will need it.

the local schools have access to a website that allows students to record the data so it can be accessed later. I HIGHLY recommend you start a portfolio (big word for folder with important stuff in it). Make good copies of everything, including back of CPR card. Submit copies only, never the originals. Your portfolio will eventually have all your certs, copies of license, resume and other things but for now, keep your important things in one place to save yourself future grief.
