  1. I teach nursing (28 years). We had a dwarf complete our RN program some years ago. The only accommodation she requested was a stool to stand on as needed. She took it with her to clinical. She was excellent in the classroom and clinical. She was a fireball and very smart. She is now a nurse practitioner. Good luck!
  2. 61 years old RN for 38 years!
  3. I took the CNE in early March at Myrtle Beach just before coronavirus restrictions and I passed. Thank goodness! It was hard, but I took my time and read each question carefully. The test lets you bookmark questions to look at again. I bookmarked about 45. Know Bloom's taxonomy for sure. I had many questions about evaluation of learning, a few on statistical analysis. I also had several on curriculum design and modification. As far as preparation, I had the Halstead and Billings book and used it a little, but I really used Whitman-Price's book. Seriously, it helped a lot. I will say that being an experienced educator (20+ years in an Associate Degree program) helped. Good luck to anyone taking the exam in the near future. Happy Nurse's Week.
  4. My instructor gave us the once-over before clinical started this morning, and she sent me home because I didn't have the correct socks on! She said they were too short, and that too much leg was showing (I had pants on). I was so embarrassed. She said the socks needed to be higher, say... just below the knee. I did, however, have my paperwork done and had my penlight and stethoscope ready to go. But, she didn't check for that. Oh well. Off to Wal-mart for some real socks.
  5. I wasn't clear. Sorry. I want to know how your school wants you to submit the forms. Either electronically to a secure site or turn in paper copies. My school wants everything in a paper form. That's fine, I will do it. But my friend who is applying at another nearby school tells me that her nursing department wants them to set up an account with a background checking site which maintains all kinds of records. She uploads all forms to this site and the school checks the site. Her school doesn't want any paper forms. It just seems more efficient to submit forms electronically. Oh, well, I will do whatever it takes. I really appreciate the good luck wish. I am sure I will need it.
  6. Hello All Nurses friends. I need your input. How does your nursing school handle the required forms, such as immunizations, CPR verification, background check, drug screen, etc... ? The paper forms are overwhelming, and I am interested in your nursing school's process for submitting these forms. Thank you so much and everyone have a great day!
