I wish it was that easy for me in CA. I am a single mother of two with a 1220 rent to pay plus car note and misc bills... Ughhh ...I'm gonna look for scholarships and grants before racking up school loans. Financial has NOT been helpful. I am working two jobs and doing a lot of research on my own.... When asked how I am going to pay for it they gasp when I say I may need a 25,000 loan a year to survive. Scary

Anyone involved with public service to pay for school? Also how do you find local hospital scholarships in your area? I'm highly interested :)

Since I don't see it mentioned yet, one of the greatest opportunities to have your nursing degree paid for is through NurseCorps Loan Repayment. Make sure you are eligible and that your school is qualified, but it's an excellent way to pay for your degree! Here's the link: Nurse Corps Loan Repayment Program
