I've just started researching this and I found that one of the schools in my state NC, offers a scholarship for service. So my advice is to decide where you want to go and then review each program. Many graduate schools offer some sort of assistance for their students, be it assistantships or the opportunity to apply for scholarships or grants.
That said, you have to do the leg work and apply as they won't just give it to you. Also your grades need to be good, usually a 3.2 or better.
Good luck!

I tried this web and it did not work. Any suggestions on getting your masters? I heard their are scholarships for teaching and the state will pay half if you commit to two years ?? Think this is a fair deal?
Thank You for your response. It is such a process to even find the information specific to nursing scholarships and grants. I have been searching online and it is true, not an easy process!
I live in New York state. I am going to keep asking at the college I want to attend. With all the talk of nursing shortages and faculty to teach up and coming nursing students, there must be money out there!
Thanks again!!! It is appreciated!!
Sorry about the incorrect site address for the Dr Lorraine G Spranzo Scholarship. I hope the folowing helps. I was involved with the original development of this scholarship and it has changed in it's criteria by limiting it's use to Connecticut schools. I this helps somebody she was an amazing person and nurse.
