Nursing review board

Does anyone know for sure when the board meets to review apps? I could have sworn my recruiter told me they met Nov. 11th and should decide by Nov. 20th but then he called me this week just to check in and said that they meet Nov. 3rd... Which by my calculations would mean they should decide long before December....right? So anyway, does anyone know which is right? I am literally counting the days until I can start expecting a phone call and I want to make sure my paper chain is the right length! haha. That's a joke...but seriously... I keep reading that everyone is waiting to find out in December but it just doesn't seem to add up quite right. :specs:

You need to see an ophthamologist for failing depth perception? Are you looking to fly?

No one in my MEPS group passed the depth perception portion. The said 1 wrong is failing but that test isn't a DQ for nurses.

Hmm...I hope my app doesn't come back. My vision is blahhh. I was the girl that always got hit with the ball in high school : - )

are the training and education opportunities in the air force something i need to seek out or do they tell you to qualify by a certain time? i'm curious if they guide you in that area or if it's up to you to find out about- not referring to school just other certificates or that sort of thing- ACLS for example or something along that line...

My refraction is pretty bad (-8.25 in my left eye). Fortunately, I see 20/20 with corrective lenses so it shouldn't be an issue. I've been told different things by different people, but as far as I know I now need a waiver to be medically cleared. Otherwise, I won't be able to move on. All my paper work is turned in so now it's just a waiting game for me.

I received an email from my recruiter saying that the Surgeon General has 6 weeks to give me a waiver. I haven't had my interview with the Chief Nurse yet. I have a feeling I won't be meeting the Dec. 22nd deadline :(

After the boards meet in January, when are they meeting next? Does anyone know? I heard that they meet in March, but I'm praying that I meet Decembers! Agh!

Your recruiter should be able to tell you the board and result posting dates. My recruiter had a sheet hanging up in his office with all the FY10 information for boards and results.
