do you know as a student how I could learn how to be a competent researcher are there any specific tools I need to work with, experiences or literature I could read.

Research is not an easy field to get into, espcially as a student. What are you studying for?

If I were in your position now I would google Research centers in your city and see what comes up. There are assistants that have various duties now such as filing or making appointments, taking phone calls.

Most centers now utilize RN's and BSN's for CRA's. However I know there are some LPN's that have maintained jobs at research centers.

As a thought, are you near a St. Jude Facility? I'd check there as well.

Good Luck!

Do you know of any good qualitative articles on fatigue or sleep quality of night shift shift worker nurses?

Not to hurt your ambitions. But your status as a student, (is it in nursing?) would be very hard.

Like I mentioned before try to get your foot in the door even if it is an assistant job, filer, whatever, finish your schooling and depending on the quality of your work in both area's, the employer may have something available for your aspirations.

Also go to the research nursing forum here on allnurses, I'm sure there is a ton of information you can get.!
