If I get accepted into the nursing program, would I be able to move while in the program to another state? I live in AZ now, but am thinking of moving back to CA. I don't know if it's a good idea to try and get into the nursing program and then move or move first and then try to get into the program after I move. Would my classes be able to transfer or what would I need to do?

Are you in an online RN-BSN program? If it's a traditional in classroom setting, that might prove difficult. If you're accepted into a traditional program, you'll have to start all over if you move. I moved halfway through my RN-BSN program and took a semester break in my cohort and "caught up" with the next one. That's not a big deal at all. From your post, though, it does sound like you're looking to get into a nursing program. Can you delay the move for 2-3 years? Nursing schools in many places can have very long wait lists and you might have to hang out for a while until you're accepted again. It depends on how flexible you are with school and with moving. It's a tough choice, but if you don't have to move right now, I'd go to school and delay moving until you have your nursing degree. Good luck on whatever you decide. Also, your pre-requisites depend on the university or college you transfer to, find out ahead of time if credits will transfer at the school you look into that has the nursing program you want. Sounds like you need to figure out which is most important for you at this point: moving or school.

I would finish your nursing school program in one area. Moving in the middle would most likely mean a fresh start at the new school.

yep...especially because every state is different. I'd complete it in one state...and then you can always apply for licensure from another state...
