Nursing Program at Arizona State University

Published

hi everyone!

i am aspiring to be a nurse someday so i am currently taking pre-requisites of the nursing program of asu(Arizona State University) at rio salado community college.

i have already taken eng101, eng102, mat122,mat187, and psy101.

*my question is, what do you guys think is the best classes that i should take this spring semester? well, i still have no idea on which statistics class to take, i don't know if i will stick with psy230 or mat206, which statistics class do you think is better and easier?

*my another question is, how is the application process in the nursing program at asu? is there a required gpa? and should we take entrance test(s) prior to entering asu, if so what test(s) is/are it/they?

i will really appreciate your response(s). thank you in advance!

I can't answer part two of your question.

However, I can give you my opinion on question 1. I would take the statistics class labeled as a Math, because in my experience programs look at the psych statistics differently. They essentially teach the same thing. I personally think stats is in no way a hard class, but that's just me.

A word of advice talk to an adviser. Rio Salado advisers are extremely helpful in my opinion and if all else fails you have google. ASU's website is very straight forward. http://www.lmgtfy.com/?q=asu+nursing+admissions

Good Luck

thank you for the response azarij, very appreciated. well, i guess i have to take mat206 as my statistics class to be sure that asu will credit it.

ASU required GPS is the higher the better. They take usually the top GPA's and most people applying have at least a 3.5 or above who got in.

hi azmomo2 , thank you for your response, do you have any idea on how to compute the gpa?

I'm sorry I have no idea how to post on this thing. ahhh I was wondering if anyone knew the best way to study for adult health theory class and if anyone recommends any NCLEX books? thanks!
