Nursing prerequisites vs. nursing school - degree of difficulty?

Published

Someone told me that she thought the prereq's required for nursing school were actually harder than nursing school itself. Did anyone else have this experience?

Hm....I didn't think so.

We're talking straight didactics vs. clinical presentations.

Depends on one's strengths, I suppose.

For me, 12 hrs of clinicals were harder than 17 hrs of pre-reqs. No question about it.

In prereq classes, you primarily assimilate information. In nursing school, you are not tested on your ability to learn information. You are tested on your ability to apply information. I think nursing school is much more difficult.
I COMPLETELY AGREE! Nursing test your critical thinking ability.....very tough sometimes!!
