Nursing in Pre-Hospital Setting

Hi

I would like to know your opinion, about Nurses working in the pre-hospital setting?

This is due Our Health Department is thinking that our Ambulance will be separate from the Accident and Emergency Department. At the Moment Ambulances are being covered with Nurses together with out Paramedics therefore crew of three people.

I would like to know your opinion about this....

I am not sure what we (RNs) add to the pre-hospital care...patient advocacy?
