LPN to RN

Does anyone know if Tennessee recognizes Indiana State University's LPN to RN program? Is it difficult to get your RN license in Tennessee after passing the NCLEX?

My husband had a heart transplant, my house burned, then he had a stem cell transplant for MDS and then ARDS! Point is, between caring for him then working the rest of the time, I timed out at Excelsior. Everything is calm now. I'm ready to buckle down and get it done.

Did you talk to Excelsior to see if you really went over 7 years of continuous enrollment? Sometimes they grant extensions based on personal hardships, and it sounds like you had more than your share!

I'm afraid so. They said I had to wait 5 years to reapply. I'm already53 years old. See, I had 12 months extension already. I had the transplant doc at St Thomas write them a letter 2 months before the house burned on 5/5/15, killing my 3 ten year old cats. 2 weeks later. Dave was diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome. 4 months later a large patient fell on me while weighing at my dialysis clinic. I've been off for 16 months. I just had back surgery but really, really want to work at least 15 more years. I'll be indigent in old age if I don't. I can't hold up to that many years working as an LPN. Dialysis pays better than any other work and I love it. I'm pouring my heart out to say if anyone here has an idea that could help me get back in an online school, please don't ignore this. My employer will pay as long as I'm working. Oh, and thank you, Pixie.

These are links to other programs that I have heard about over the years, I have no personal experience with any of them:

An Online LPN to RN Program at Allegany College of Maryland

LPN to RN Online Bridge | Hutchinson Community College

NDSU: Distance & Continuing Education (DCE): Online Degrees: LPN to Bachelor of Science Nursing Option

That last one is the only other one that is LPN to BSN. If your employer is paying, I would try that one! I believe it requires a couple of campus visits to North Dakota.

No local LPN to RN bridges available?

Best of luck!!

Any one doing BSN at Chamberlain st Madison, IL. Please, post your experience. Will be appreciated.
