I am studying for chronicity, would it be wise to try and take transitions & chronicity together? Are they difficult exams by themselves or are they doable? I'm excited about the test, just wantig to speed up the tesring process.

Specializes in Home Health, Podiatry, Neurology, Case Mgmt.

Have no idea what to tell you, but im interested in other's responses! I am halfway through my readings for Health & Safety (how was that by the way?) and was going to wait until the middle of June to take the test but I feel like i'm really comprehending everyhting so thinking the last week of may if i can get it scheduled for then.

I already submitted my financial assistance to them for the exam, just waiting for EC to update it all so that i can go in and self pay for the practice exams.

What books/study aides are you or have you used already? I just bought the recommended textbooks from ebay (an edition or two behind) and that's all i'm using!

Hope it's enough..good luck on your exams!

I actually had a study guide. I can't remember b/c I took that test over a year ago.

Specializes in Pediatrics/Adult Float Pool.

i won't say "stop! don't do it!", i've heard of people taking 2 exams in one day, but it would be very difficult. and as much as you want to speed up the length of time you spend on the exams, you don't want to jeopordize the learning process by moving too quickly and failing. and, regardless of which exam i took, when i walked out that door with my pass in hand, i don't think you could've paid me enough to go back in and take another one that same day :uhoh3:! but, in the end, you are the only one who truly knows yourself, and your situation. if you feel confident in the material, fine, but if you have any doubts about whether or not you're ready, it might be best to wait on one. just my 2 cents, let us know how it goes! and good luck!!

Specializes in EMS, ED, Trauma, CEN, CPEN, TCRN.

My study for NC4 (Health Differences Across the Life Span 1) and NC7 (Transitions) overlapped a bit, but not by much. I preferred to focus on one at a time to ensure the best grade for myself. :)

Thank you all for your response. I will put all of my time to studying Chronicity. I believe that one more level of difficulty.
