You'd be looking at Montreal as the base for your husband's employer. You could live in one of the smaller communities along Autoroute 15/US 87 between Montreal and Plattsburgh, New York which would give each of you a roughly 30 mile commute. Napierville, Quebec would be the most equitable, I think.
As for the process of becoming a nurse in other provinces, there are already lots of threads that go over that ground. Have a look at those.
Do you have any idea of how large geographically Canada is? Most Canadians measure distance in hours travelled.Where in PQ would you be living? Look at a map. Do you want commutes daily of that distance? Or are you planning a longdistance marriage?
Lol Fiona, thanks for pointing out that most Canadians measure distance in hours. I just noticed that now.

Hello.
I am an American looking for advice about relocating to Canada. My husband may take a job with Cirque Du Soleil in Quebec. Problem is I am a registered nurse. I know that I cannot practice nursing in Quebec without being fluent in French. What would be the next closest place for me to work as a nurse? Is there such a place that is right on the border between the US and Canada that I may look in to?
If I wanted to work as a nurse in Canada other than in Quebec, what is the process?
Thanks for your help.
