CA BRN prior convictions - Advanced Practice

Hi I have a question hopefully someone has experienced and can help answer. I had a DUI in 2001, and in 2013 I received my RN license - went through the lengthy process of writing my "letter of explanation" and got my RN license without complication.

Now in 2018 my sights are on obtaining NP, and it looks like the board wants the same process for prior convictions: the letter, and the other things.

My question is, if I did all that for them for the RN and was approved and deemed fit for practice, do they want the same letter for this now very old conviction? Or do they only want new convictions that they havent approved?

I suppose calling them will be the best way to know, but just curious if anyone has gone out through this? Thanks!

I haven't gone thru this personally, but I know someone who has...she had to resubmit everything again. If they didn't discipline you the first time, I doubt they would again. But regardless, she had to send it all back in and she got approved for her NP. Good luck!
