Hi there
Happy to meet you all in this excellent forum.
I have a query ? would any one help me ?
I am an RN holding a Maryland state license. Can I work in New York with the same license if not what is the procedure and how long will it take

You should be able to find whatever you need to know there, reciprocity and such... you may want to look at your maryland website as well, because they may charge a fee to verify your license..

i was looking at the website and didnt see a lot of clear cut info on it, but if you call the numbers above, or emaill them, i am willing to bet that they can get you going in the right direction.

NCLEX exam has reciprocity, nursing licenses do not. And NY is not a compact state. You will need to apply to NY via the "License by Endorsment" application.
You will need a NY license to practice there. If you graduated from a US school, then the wait is usually about six weeks; if from overseas, then there is a different process that needs to be followed.
