I'm not sure the 100$/yr membership is worth the journal alone but it does get you discounted classes, CEN, and online resources. I also like Nursing2008 keeps me up to date on a lot of med/surg/tele "floor" nursing type stuff and also has a lot of community nursing topics. I think its a better read than American Journal of Nursing (AJN) which I think is a little more political. I also like the free one from ANA--American Nurse today.
But all in all the one thing I'm addicted to the most is "allnurses.com"...you learn a lot here :)

I am a soon to be new grad who will be starting in a ED in July. I have taken a look at the above sticky thread and plan to use those resources upon starting my job. I am also thinking of getting a subscription to 1 or 2 nursing journals. As a new grad, are there any that would be better than others? Should I get a general nursing journal or are there good ones specific to ED nursing? I am open to any recommendations to help me stay current and up to date! Obviously I need to focus on the basics but I'd also like to read up on what is going on in research etc.
