nursing jobs in the middle east

Published

i have been hearing that nurses can make megabucks by going to ksa. i inquired with a recruiter who offered me about 54k annually with no taxes of course. i know guys who have gone over there to drive semitrucks making 100k annually. why such a difference? i have a BSN for goodness sakes and 12 yrs exp. i make 85k now in the states and have full medical benifits for myself and my family so i told the recruiter via email that is not enough for me to leave my family and go to a country where there is a potential for harm. any feedback?

I have moved this from the UK to the international forum as you are more likely to get responses there.

There are also more catches to that money being tax free. You must be out of the US for the full year for it to be all tax free, less than that, and the tax free part is not true.

So if your year is split between two tax years, then it will not be tax free for you.

Those driving trucks on the roads there are putting their lives at risk every day when they are at work, much more so than you would be doing in a guarded compound.

With the increases in salary in the US now, things do not look as green over there any longer.
