  1. i have been hearing that nurses can make megabucks by going to ksa. i inquired with a recruiter who offered me about 54k annually with no taxes of course. i know guys who have gone over there to drive semitrucks making 100k annually. why such a difference? i have a BSN for goodness sakes and 12 yrs exp. i make 85k now in the states and have full medical benifits for myself and my family so i told the recruiter via email that is not enough for me to leave my family and go to a country where there is a potential for harm. any feedback?
  2. i wouldnt recommend home health for new grads. u have to be very autonomous and have above average assessment and critical thinking skills. u dont learn these skills in nursing school . u learn them through experience. i would recommend at least 1 yr med surg . that will give u a great diversity of experience and then u can work anywhere. i did medonc for 10 yrs and i now do home infusion. the skills i learned are very valuable to me and i am actually going to go back to hosp nursing a medonc unit 1or 2 shifts a month . i miss the codes and excitement. hope this helps u.
  3. i didnt study at all before i took my boards. the computer stopped me at 75 questions so i knew i had passed. try not to stress about it too much. just read the question carefully and chose the best answer. there is such a thing as studying too much and u may be trying to overanalyze the topic. relax u can do it.
  4. I graduated from TWU Dallas campus in 95 . I would highly recommend the school. good luck getting in though. its very competitive, based on your GPA.
