Nursing Interview Help!

Hi all,

I'm trying to get ready for my first nursing interview since having a baby (2yrs ago :lttang:) and I'm absolutely terrified! It's just for a casual position as an RN in the casual pool, mostly working in the Emergency Department of a regional hospital in Queensland, Australia.

I've been sent a package including short answer q's to fill out and take with me to the interview. The q's I'm having trouble with are about quality improvements I've been involved with and what has changed in my clinical practice in the last few years.

The quality one I'm struggling with because I don't know the current 'buzz words' or how to articulate the info they are looking for. As for my clinical practice; it's constantly changing as I broaden my knowledge and I can't think of something to say that doesn't make me look completely stupid for not already doing something in a particular way! :banghead:

ANY help or suggestions would be most welcome, Thanks everyone. :)

I don't think there is anything wrong with saying that your practice changes as new evidenced based practice is realized. Nursing is a field in which you continuosly learn as you know. Just my opinion (not that it matters much I am still searching for my 1st job).

Would a nurse refresher course help? It might bring you up to date and current.

Good Luck
