Final Interview @ Cardinal Santos Medical Center

Hi everyone! I am scheduled for a final interview at Cardinal Santos on the last week of April.. Do you have any idea on what type of questions would they ask? Is it like, "explain the pathophysiology of blah blah blah...." or anything that would make my nose bleed? (LOL!) Please help me.. I am now starting to review my nursing notes though.. Just want to have an idea how will the interview goes.. And please pray for me as well.. Thanks!

I don't have a BLS ID but I do have BLS Certificate. Are they strongly require BLS ID? Or they also accept BLS Certificate.

as far as i know, when you go there, you'll be presenting:

your PRC license, BLS, IVT, ACLS both the ID's and certificates.

i just don't know if they will entertain you if you only have either. just call them before going to make sure.:)

Hi mistiknit! The requirements needed are the following: PRC license, BLS or ACLS card, and IVT license.. That's all.. Or might as well bring all your BLS/ACLS/IVT certificates just to make sure.. But as for my experience, I only showed them my PRC license, ACLS card and IVT license..

are you going to submit the photocopy of the said requirements or you just have to show it to them? im searching cardinal santos in the internet but i think their server is down

Hi brigz! You just have to show them ur licenses (PRC, IVT and BLS/ACLS).. No need to photocopy them.. :wink2:

just want to ask... I applied there last year but they just let me sign in a logbook with my contact numbers. the exam will be this june 2,... I called but they told me that they're not accepting any applicants... that there will be no exam this may... just wondering?!

how can i get to CSMC from edsa? my friend told me that you really have to ride a cab if you'll go there

Hi starskyervy! As far as I know, Cardinal Santos now is under new management. So I think those applicants who applied last year and are supposed to be scheduled for the initial exam this May would be disregarded, thus, they need to be scheduled again for the exam.. Even before, they have that kind of hiring process.. Your actual date of initial exam is 2-3 months after date that you actually went there to be scheduled for the exam.. When I accompanied my friend there last March 16, she was scheduled for June 25 initial exam.. So by now, if ul go there, ul probably be scheduled on August..

I also want to remind you that they need the ff in order for you to be scheduled for the exam: PRC license, IVT license, and BLS/ACLS card.. Unlike before that you only register your name on the logbook even without those mentioned requirements..

Hi brigz! If you are from EDSA-Ortigas, ride a bus going to Greenhills with the signboard "Quiapo".. Then you cross the overpass near Greenhills, walk until you reach Klownz comedy bar.. On the other street, there are color orange mini-shuttle rides.. Ask them to drop you at Cardinal.. The fare is only P7.. No pedicabs anymore.. :wink2:

hi eosinophil!!! just wanna ask how to update my BLS? i went there a while ago but they didn't accept my application cos i had my BLS training last sept 2006 which they told me that it was expired already..does it mean that i must undergo BLS training again? anyway, as i've told on my last messages,,,I applied there last year just logged on my name and contacts and exam will be on june2. they told me that though it was from former management, they'll still let me take the exam provided that i have to update my BLS. how is that? tnx in advance..

Hi starskyervy! I think you have to undergo BLS training again in order for you acquire a new BLS card.. Mine had already expired, good thing that I have an ACLS card.. By the way, CCNAPI, an organization located in Philippine Heart Center, will be conducting BLS training this coming April 15, just in case you want an urgent schedule, but Im not sure if they are giving licenses after the training or just certificates only.. Or you can go to the Philippine National Red Cross (any branch) for the training.. At least it is the organization which is known for conducting BLS trainings.. I had my BLS training there last August 2007.. One of the instructors there told us that if you are going to update your BLS card, you have to undergo the training again, with another fee ofcourse..

It's a good thing that Cardinal Santos didn't disregard your schedule of exam on June 2, or else you have to register yourself again.. :wink2:
